Social Media Manager

Project-based or part time, flexible working arrangement.

Brand Poets is seeking a Social Media Manager to concept, strategize, implement and engage creative content on various platforms for local and national clients to reach and convert within the various markets and provide monthly reports outlining strategic recommendations to improve ROI and meet KPIs.

Candidate most possess deep working familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Hootsuite, the creative and content development process, plus general knowledge of performance media and data insights.

Serve as a social media leader for clients and our internal team, advising on how to leverage social to drive business objectives and actively working with all teams to deliver world-class work.

Bring a deep understanding of digital strategy and thought leadership to clients. Be willing to roll up your sleeves, craft thoughtful and compelling captions, consistently up-level your work, and drive engagement.

Oversee day-to-day communications on social media platforms including responding to direct messages and requests.

Work with creative team to create monthly calendars of content that sync with seasonal trends and industry knowledge.

Able to capture light filming and photography for client campaigns (photoshoots may require travel)

Demonstrate creativity and conceptual thinking on client programs and projects.

Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and/or tools for arriving at great work.

Stay current on the latest digital technology, functionality, and integrations to serve as a go-to resource for the client and internal team.

Strengthen your work across disciplines, working closely with our planning, paid, earned, and creative teams.

Exhibit willingness to gain understanding of key client information including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services offered, key customers and competitors in the marketplace.


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Working knowledge of the digital consumer landscape in the Healthcare, Retail, Real Estate and Education industries
  • A demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful digital programs
  • A relentless passion and understanding of the role of digital communications for brand building, community engagement, etc
  • Direct working experience with social media tools and platforms – Hootsuite, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc
  • Experience in creating and managing multichannel digital ecosystems
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem solving
  • Amazing writing and presentation skills
  • A smart mind for business
  • Proficiency with Google Suite
