Gear Up Your Small Business in The New Year

Make personal connections and boost sales

The start of a new year is the perfect time to recharge, reassess, set goals, and plan for the future. This year, 2022 is set to be one of the best growth years both in revenue and in sales due to the previous two years of this pesky pandemic and many are predicting that after two years of staying in (and cautiously venturing out), this year will be a buying frenzy. If you are a business owner, attracting new customers could make a significant impact on your 2022 bottom line.

Here are a few ways you can come out of the gate running in the new year:

Give them an offer they can’t resist: This one’s a no-brainer, but offering a discount of at least 15% is a must for attracting customers. Shoppers want to feel they have saved money by making a purchase.

Scout the competition: Keep your eyes on your competitors. Take a look at their discounts, advertising, and messaging. How can you differentiate yourself from the crowd?

Small business Saturdays: Use these designated days as an opportunity to market to your local community by using geo-targeted ads and responding personally on social to loyal customers. Local shoppers can easily become loyal shoppers. Make those personal connections!

Create your dream team: If you need additional hands for the busy periods, be prepared with new hires beforehand. Proper training will ensure a smooth experience for both your team and customers.

Go digital: If you’re not already on social media, now is a good time to branch out and reach new customers. Figure out your ideal audience and research where they spend most of their time online (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).

Keep it simple: Remain confident in your brand and keep it simple by promoting your own story. Your business is unique and your story is worth sharing with others.
